The Central American region has started to move towards energy transition in recent years with the aim is to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Honduras has been the top country with the highest rank of  PV installations installed in Central America. In the beginning, it paid much attention to solar farms and park installations. Additionally, the conventional energy cost has risen by around 200 percent in the last three years. Such a situation makes some families and business owners spend up to 30 percent of their monthly income providing public services.

As the electricity cost is high, more and more people prefer to settle PV installation for various personal demands, particularly to save costs.
