Ideal sunshine weather is the main factor that makes Pakistan a good place for solar power generation. Meanwhile, the Pakistan government implemented 17% taxes for renewable energy, including solar panels at the beginning of 2022. The Alliance for Climate Justice and Clean Energy (ACJCE) has reported its worries about imposed taxes on solar panels, wind turbines, and electric vehicles. In a letter written to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), it has said that these taxes can hamstring the market for renewable energy in Pakistan. Moreover, the association argues that renewable energy resources are the biggest hope for providing cheap and clean electricity to the marginalized sections of Pakistan’s society.
But, Pakistan is confidently trying to increase the number of PV installations despite the current policy.
Eco Green Energy has been glad to supply its products to Pakistan for more than three years. Here we are sharing recent pictures of two solar installations done in Pakistan with the EGE panels Atlas 540W. 14 PV modules of excellent efficiency were applied for projects in Sindh and Sanghar provinces. The total capacity is 7,56KW. We are thankful to our trustful and reliable distributor, Shahani Impex Int’l Hyd., for long-term and fruitful cooperation.
Here are three main key points of the EGE panels Atlas 540W with a half-cut technology :
Reduce the panel’s power loss. By cutting solar cells in half, the current from each cell is divided as well. Furthermore, it promotes lower resistive losses and durability as electricity moves throughout cells and wires in a solar panel.
Higher shade tolerance. Half-cut cells are more resistant to the effects of shade. It is also due to the wiring methods used to connect half-cut cells in a panel.
Resistance to the hot spots damage. When one solar cell in a panel cell string is shaded, all the unshaded cells can dump the energy they produce into the first shaded cell as heat. This phenomenon creates a hot spot that can potentially damage the solar panel. In fact, in half-cut modules, the area of shaded cells is smaller to radiate heat. That means, the total amount of heat produced should be less damaging to the panel.
