Back to the Central American land of volcanoes – Guatemala! 

Lying between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, Guatemala is a mountainous nation and home to 37 awe-inspiring volcanoes, of which three are active: Fuego, Pacaya, and Santiaguito. Moreover, Tajumulco is an entirely fascinating volcano at 4,202 meters, the highest peak in Central America. While its upper reaches are bare and lava-scarred, its sprawling lower slopes are home to lots more nature and wildlife. 

Also, Guatemala is the second-largest Central American power market and intends to increase renewable energy use. High levels of solar irradiance and large areas of cleared land give the country a strong potential for increased solar energy development.
