What is PERC Cells Technology?

Our Helios Plus Brand series is made with PERC solar cells innovation that creates an extra layer within the backside of the cell.
Such technology provides sun reflection back into the solar cell, giving them another opportunity to be turned into energy.

Lower Temperature Accumulation
How Helios Plus’s PERC Cells performs in my projects?
According to Figure 2, Standard commercial models (shown above as Others) absorb the sunlight without internal reflection, causing an increased temperature accumulation, reducing thermal efficiency, and decreasing the cell performance to energy absorption.
However, due to the engineering design of the Helios Plus Series, the solar energy is passed through the EGE Helios Plus PERC Cell reflected in the increased rear surface reflection. It is also re-reflected internally along the p-silicon between the dielectrically displaced rear metal reflector and the Aluminum oxide-Emitter complex.

Some of the key benefits it’s the improvement in the thermal efficiency due to the lower temperature accumulation and moreover, increasing the energy absorption.
Engineered Balance Design Power Output
According to Solar Power World, the major difference between Standard Modules and Full Black is their efficiency ratings. Full Black modules run a bit hotter and offer fewer opportunities for reflected light absorption, so their efficiencies are slightly lower (SolarPowerWorld)
Standard Full Black modules “have a more aesthetically pleasing look but lose the benefit of reflection and light trapping, resulting in a lower photocurrent” (SolarPowerWorld). This might be translated to up to 5% less than a white-backsheet module.

However, EGE Helios Plus Full Black have a stronger light-trapping performance and engineered balance design power output by the cell distribution and grade-A cell selection (22.6 – 23.2% efficiency).
This careful balance reduces the breach from 5% (other models in the market) to only a 1% difference between the Helios Plus Standard power output of 455W and the Helios Plus Full Black power output of 450W. It is aiming high with the module efficiency up to 20.81% (due to the balance of other components such as EVA Anti-PID and high transmittance, 94% glass transmittance). And also the same issue happens for the Helios Plus Standard 375W and the Full Black 370W.
Lower LCOE and BOS
Eco Green Energy ensures a 25-year Linear Warranty with 0.55% annual linear degradation for its products with high-performance output.

Anti PID/ Low LID protection
Due to its engineered setup, and competitive 9BB cell, the product obtains Anti-PID/LID TUV EC 61215/ IEC 61730 / IEC 61701 / IEC 62716 ISO 9001 Certified properties.
Less Hot Spot Shading effect
Half-cut technology of the EGE Helios Black series allows for reducing potential damage to the solar panel by the hot spot shading effect.
Lower temperature coefficient
Helios Plus with Black Frame and All Black modules have a lower temperature coefficient of -0.30% / ℃. Such innovation makes it more durable to withstand extreme and high-temperature environments.
We enriched the Helios Plus All-Black series with the advanced design that makes it a unique product with a more alluring appearance. Furthermore, higher conversion efficiency provides lower performance loss and reduces the loss of shadow occlusion.

Helios Plus Black Frame/Full Black components
Our Company strictly choose the raw material for PV modules production. In fact, all components, from the frame to the glass, are of the highest quality available on the market.

Made Grade-A exclusively 144 half-cut PERC cell technology, the HELIOS PLUS Black Frame provides a total output of 455W (positive tolerance +5W) with 20.81% efficiency.
Moreover, the panels are equipped with anti-reflective Coated Glass with light transmission reaching 94% with a thickness of 3.2mm. The reinforced aluminum structure allows durability and robustness under most stressful conditions.

Full Black versions typically in the industry are 5% output power lower than standard panels. However, EGE models have improved their engineering design to compensate for the thermal effect and cell-backsheet gap of the Full Black. It is only 1% lower compared with the EGE standard versions. It is also due to grade A cells are carefully selected to complete the specified power output.

Another distinguishing feature is that Helios Plus Full Black modules have a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. Moreover, Engineered Balanced Power Output increases Power Output (- 1%) compared with Other Models in the market (- 5%). It results in improved Efficiency contrasted with Standard Full Black in the market (- 0.5%).
Projects done with Helios Plus Series

Here is a solar project installation of 54pcs EGE with Helios Plus 375W 120 cells 9BB Mono with maximized efficiency up to 20.45% for a gas station in the Ararat region. In addition, the total power of the project reached 20 kW.

Mobile solar off-grid systems for road signs were completed in Uruguay. Our partner did 15 such installations to signal the construction of roads and highways in Montevideo. Actually, each system consists of two supreme quality EGE Helios Plus 370W made with half-cut technology.
