About INMETRO
INMETRO, the whole name is The National Institute for Metrology, Standardization, and Industrial Quality. Also, it is short for The Brazilian National bureau of standards, which is responsible for implementing The INMETRO certification system. It includes safety, energy efficiency, and noise certification requirements, and market regulation.
Products that belong to the scope of control must apply for authentication from a qualified agency recognized by INMETRO. Therefore, products that pass the authentication and labeled with the INMETRO logo can enter the Brazilian market for legal circulation.
