Cleaning and maintenace of PV module are key point to assure a good efficiency of your PV systems. The only way to detect problem in your PV systems is to schedule daily, monthly/quaterly, and annual monitoring of your PV systems.
Daily monitoring:
On daily basis, it’s important to check if your inverter is working, and to record your systems power output. Most of current monitoring inverter software are doing it automaticly.

Eco Green Energy inverter, and internal system
Monthly/quartely monitoring:
Visual check of the panels
Cleaning of the panels (frequency of panels cleaning depend on where and how you have install your PV systems)
Tips:
•Shut down the electricity before do the cleaning and maintenance
•Better to clean the PV module in early morning or late afternoon when it’s less hot.
•Use a telescopic broom, a wash-rag or cloth to clean the PV module. Don’t use corrosive material or anything that could scratch the glass of the panels. If there is only dust, you can handle it with simple water hose pipe.
• You can use biodegradable soap
•Don’t put force on a single point of the module when do cleaning and maintenance.

Annual monitoring:
Reviewing daily output of your systems, and detect any irregularity in your PV systems.
Visual inspection of your PV module to see if there is any fracture, Micro-cracks, snail trail, corrosion issue such as yellow-brown marks, etc….
Inspection of the junction box, connection and cable. Make sure that there is no accumulation of water in the junction box, and that connections and clamping system have no damage.
